Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FrontStores software, including our desktop applications, web applications, and mobile applications (collectively, the "Software"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
1. The Software
FrontStores provides business-management software for shop owners and businesses, including billing, inventory, customer management, and related features. The Software is offered on a subscription basis after a free trial period.
2. Free Trial
New installations include a free trial of 30 days from first setup. No payment is required during the trial. At the end of the trial, continued use requires an active paid subscription.
3. Subscription & Fees
- The subscription fee is ₹999 per month per installation, unless a different price is communicated to you in writing.
- Payment is collected directly by FrontStores. Upon payment, your subscription is extended by the corresponding period.
- Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- We may revise pricing with prior notice; changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.
4. Your Data
FrontStores is offline-first. For desktop apps, your business data is stored locally on your own device. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your data, including creating regular backups using the in-app backup/export feature. We are not able to recover data that is lost due to device failure, loss, theft, or your failure to maintain backups.
5. Acceptable Use
- Use the Software only for lawful business purposes.
- Do not use the Software to engage in, record, conceal, or facilitate any illegal, fraudulent, or prohibited activity — including but not limited to tax or GST evasion, false or duplicate invoicing, money laundering, sale of restricted, counterfeit, expired, or prohibited goods, dispensing of medicines or scheduled drugs without the licences and prescriptions required by law, or any breach of trade, drug, food-safety, or other applicable regulations.
- Do not reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Software.
- Do not attempt to bypass, disable, or tamper with subscription, licensing, or security mechanisms.
- One subscription covers one installation/tenant unless agreed otherwise.
6. Customer Responsibility & Indemnity
You are solely responsible for how you and your staff use the Software and for all activity carried out through your installation. FrontStores is only a software tool; it does not control, monitor, supervise, or endorse the goods you sell, the services you provide, the records you enter, or the business decisions you make.
- You are solely responsible for operating your business in compliance with all applicable laws, licences, registrations, and regulations (including tax/GST, drug and pharmacy laws, food-safety, labour, and consumer-protection laws). Maintaining the necessary licences and permissions is entirely your responsibility.
- You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and lawful use of all data you enter, the invoices and reports you generate, and the way you present them to customers or authorities.
- Any misuse of the Software, or any illegal, fraudulent, or non-compliant activity conducted using it, is your sole responsibility. FrontStores bears no responsibility or liability whatsoever for such use, whether by you, your staff, or any third party using your installation.
- You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FrontStores and its owner from and against any claims, penalties, fines, losses, damages, liabilities, and legal costs arising out of or related to your use or misuse of the Software, your business activities, or your breach of these Terms or of any law.
7. Availability & Updates
We aim to keep licensing and update services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Software includes an offline grace period so that brief service interruptions do not immediately affect your use. We may release updates that add, change, or remove features.
8. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if a subscription is unpaid, expired, or if these Terms are violated. You may stop using the Software at any time; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for cancellation details.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for verifying that the Software meets your business and statutory requirements (including tax and regulatory compliance).
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FrontStores shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising from use of or inability to use the Software. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the subscription fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
